program at Luke's Place
Role and expectations
Interns are expected to be a visible part of our community, worshiping regularly with the St. Luke's Worshipping Community and participating in our Luke's Place Ministry.
The total time commitment is expected to average 3-4 hours/week during the academic term. Successful applicants may be required to provide police record checks depending on the nature of their placement.
Student Interns will commit themselves to the following components of the programme:

Bi-weekly (6 per term) faith formation meetings led by Canon Adele and participants of Luke's Place with St. Luke's worshipping community

Leadership Development Sessions led by a variety of expert facilitators on topics of leadership styles, communication, conflict resolution, spirituality, and social justice

Community placement of approximately 2 hours/week. Community placement option includes:

Placement within Luke's place or St. Luke's Worshipping Community:

Chaplaincy Work

Event Planning

Social Media and Communications

Music Leadership

Application Process

Fill out the Internship Application Form and email it to Canon Adele (adelemiles@diohuron.org)

Successful candidates will be contacted for an interview with Canon Adele to learn more about Luke's Place, discern their gifts and passions, and discuss placement opportunities

Interns are expected to arrive in London Ontario by Sept. 1st for orientation and to participate in Luke's Place "Welcome to the Neighbourhood" activities

Applicants must be post-secondary students, ages 17-30

Placements and other components of the programme commence in September

Interns will receive an honorarium of $500 per semester( $1000 total) for their successful completion of the programme.
